AU Class of 2017 ED II

My daughter got in! Good luck to everyone!

Did she find out by mail?

NY…she received a call on Thursday and her packet arrived yesterday.

Oh ok, well congratulations!!

Don’t expect a phone call - most people don’t get them. Everything is sent by snail mail. And be sure to read the whole packet. There will often be two letters - one congratulating you on acceptance to AU, another for the specific program (esp. for theater). My D didn’t see the 2nd letter and was disappointed for about 30 minutes until I took a closer look (this was 3 years ago).

NY…try not worry. Most students don’t receive a call. It could be the area from where the student is from. My daughter showed an abundance of interest in many ways, from visiting to interviewing. Also, mail is slow this weekend because of Presidents Day weekend. Good luck to you…I’m sure we will be reading good news soon for you!

ACCEPPPPTEDDD!!! NY, tell me when you hear back! It takes a while for the mail to process, especially after a holiday.

Unfortunately, I was rejected. Surprisingly I’m okay with the decision. American was a reach for me so I was hoping applying ed II would boost my chances of admission. I’ve already been accepted somewhere so its cool but now I have to wait until March to hear from the rest of the colleges I applied to. Not looking forward to that. Kitty I hope you enjoy your time at American!! Maybe i’ll transfer depending on what my first year experience is like.

I have been admitted and I received some financial aid but no scholarship monies. Does anyone know if scholarship is provided with the admissions letter? Or, is scholarship information sent later?

Has anyone from the New England area been notified?

NY, I’m so sorry to hear the news. My daughter was rejected from her first choice school, but in the end it worked out better. I’m sure you will do great where ever you go. Good luck!

@highschoolbound - you should’ve received a paper that details how much you have to pay and how much you received, if any, in need based and merit based aid… if you didn’t you should probably call AU. If you didn’t get any merit based aid, just letting you know… don’t try. lol.

I have not found out yet… Has anyone else still not received notification?

nosoup: I would call admissions and ask.
