AU ED1 Class of 2023

Hey @n0123c ! Thanks, you are very helpful. So, in other words, if you are able to submit a deposit it is guaranteed that you are in?

Thanks again for your comment.

I was able to get into the portal, and it said “Congratulations on your acceptance!”. However, I cannot find my financial aid package anywhere! Where would it be if it was available? I have the option to pay the enrollment deposit, but obviously do not want to do that until I can see what financial aid package I have. Thanks so much! Go Eagles!

@zmd1388 No problem! I understand the stress of decisions, and while finding out through loopholes isn’t ideal, it is relieving.

Basically, it congratulates you and you should be able to make the deposit after checking the housing plan agreement, so yes, being able to make a deposit is a sign of acceptance.

Financial aid would be found under finances->financial aid->financial aid:award letter on your right hand side.

Please give it some time, I don’t believe 2019-2020 is available yet. @iloveDC4

I still can’t create an account. I entered my AU ID, SSN, and birthday but I still can’t create an account. Are you guys still able to log into the accounts that you have already created? Hopefully I get in

Can not create an account

I was able to make an account and made sure to check the enrollment section!! I’m in, see everyone next year in DC!!

My financial aid package is up!! It is phenomenal! I cannot believe I’m gonna be able to live my dream :,) Congratulations to everyone! Cannot wait to see you all in DC next year!

how did you see your financial aid package?

@frizzymizzy I, for some reason, can see mine if I go to the “Accept Financial Aid package” tab but can’t see it if I go to “Financial Aid Letter”. Weird, I know, but that’s what worked for me!!

It’s under finances. Mine didn’t show up under letter, but did under accept the awards.

Does anybody know if there’s a Facebook group or something yet?

Congratulations! @alexrachele My portal said I’m accepted, but I haven’t been able to see my financial aid package yet…hoping it comes soon! If you don’t mind me asking…did you need a ton of aid/are you lower income? Really hoping I can afford my dream school!

@iloveDC4 Thank you so much!! Yes, I was in dire need of aid. I have divorced parents in which I only live with one of them and the parent who I don’t live with makes a significant amount of money more than my custodial parent which deeply concerned me about getting aid. My package did not meet 100% aid (my EFC was 2198) and my price was $10,000 per year (the goal was $5,000) BUT I have some money saved up which I can use to pay half of it and then I plan on getting a job during the summers. I did not think the money would come through for me which was very upsetting for the last few weeks but everything worked out for me! Once you receive your package, really lay it out and figure out how much you need to pay. I hope the best for you!!!

My portal says I’m accepted but I am still waiting to see a financial aid package. I’m so excited!!!

@alexrachele Thank you SO much! I’m so happy for you! I have a very similar situation–my non-custodial parent (whom I haven’t seen in years) makes a significant amount of money more than my custodial parent, so I was worried. I had an extremely low EFC. I was able to check through the “Accept My Award Package”, and it looks like it will be around $5,000 per year for me. I’m going to wait until I see the official package in the mail, but things are looking good. Hopefully we’ll both be in DC next year!!

I am struggling to create a new account. Does this mean that my account has not yet been activated?

Most likely. They activate accounts in waves

Do you know if it is done by region? Do you think I will get it by tonight?

From past years it looks like it’s over several days. Not sure if it is done by region, but I think that it will be activated tomorrow rather than tonight.

The suspense is killing me!
