@keysfan My son is in with a $25,000 grant for financial aid. Didn’t see any merit scholarship though. Where was yours listed? Hoping he get enough merit to make his dream school a reality!!!
@yayhamlet I’m pretty sure it tells you when you’re making your account, but I wasn’t paying attention. I went to their FAQ page on the portal and finally found that it’s your first initial, your last initial, the last 4 letters of your AUID, and then the letter a. So John Doe 1234567 would have the username JD4567A.

Where are you finding the school you were admitted to? I can’t tell if D was admitted to the program she applied to, it doesn’t say.

if i cannot create an AU account did i not get in? this cannot be happening… i got a rejection and a waitlist already today
@snr2018 You have to create an account where you can set up a password. I’m not sure if it means you did not get it if you can’t make one. It still seems like a lot of people can’t make one so I would keep trying or wait for your letter. Try not putting in your SSN and just put in your birthday. That’s what did it for me

it did not work when I did that too… if I didn’t get in I will be really confused… I have higher grades/scores than a lot of people saying they got in
It seems kind of arbitrary this year. S got in to some places we were not expecting with his grades. But it doesn’t look good for AU and he has much better stats than many listed here. If everyone who’s in can get the portal it doesn’t look good. Kid is bummed a bit, but lots of good opportunities await
I am kind of worried- so are they sending out rejections now? So anyone who did not get an admission packet today got rejected?
There’s hardly any info on myAU, all it says is “Congratulations, XXXX, on your acceptance to American University!” I did hear that when you’re accepted to American, you’re accepted to the entire university, not just one program. But I’m sure they keep the program you put down on your application as your major of choice.
@PastaKween Did you try to get in on the portal? I feel for all of you. This is a much more stressful process than I remember.
Haven’t gotten my letter yet (northern NJ), but I have a 1440 and 33. So this basically means a waitlist/rejection based off of the results so far. Guess I shouldn’t have studied so hard?
@olivia42 I understand you completely!!! I got a 33 and I don’t think I got in!!! its so annoying because AU was my top choice and im just confused
Just checked my financial aid package and apparently I have a Dean’s Scholarship? So I’m assuming I got in…
