Auburn Architecture

Any input on the program? We just learned that Clemson is a 4 year program (knew that), but that it is not a pre-professional program meaning 3 years of grad school. Was impressed with the campus of Auburn - it has grown and money is clearly being put into the infrastructure of the school. Toured the Architecture school and also talked with a person there and felt confident that it would provide a solid foundation in architecture. However, we all seem to go back to the Northern programs (Syracuse, Cornell, Penn State) which are not what she is looking for - too cold.

If your looking for warm weather, consider the west coast schools, Tulane, U of Miami, U of Texas, Rice. Even though it is cold, Syracuse, Cornell, Penn State are excellent programs.

Her list does include Tulane, UT-Austin, UMiami. She wants to go away (we want her too go away also) so UMiami is not high on the list.
My main question is input on the Auburn program.

PS Penn State she is applying to - the other two are just way out of her range for cold and dark/dreary after living in SFlorida. UFlorida is on the list - way,way down - just not her at all. UVa is also on the list.

Auburn has a great program called Rural Studio which is a fantastic opportunity for any student and would look great on a resume. Then again, Tulane has UrbanBuild which is similar but newer.
