Has anyone been?? How was it? I can not afford Cornell or any of the really long ones. This one is still pretty expensive at 1900 dollars for two weeks. Is it worth it? Any other recommendations of good summer arch programs ?(I live in Louisiana but am willing to travel to some extent.) What about Auburn or Va Tech? Mississippi State? Thanks!!! All input is appreciated!

I’m not familiar with the Clemson program, but know people who have participated in University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign (discover Architecture, a 2-week residential program) and Boston Architectural Center (month-long half-day program). Both participants found the experience rewarding and helpful in determining that they were truly interested in majoring in architecture at college.

I got accepted and am kind of freaking out about the two weeks away from home! Is anyone else going June 14-27? Any advice about going to an architecture summer program?

i went on a 10 day swim trip to Florida (i live in RI) by myself when i was a sophomore and it was the best decision i ever made. the reason being that i found out that i could handle life without my parents. i know that 10 days is not too long, but i was able to catch flights, etc, without assistance, which will help me in terms of going away to college. this could be a great first test to see if you like being away from home and also how far you can go.

good luck
