I would honestly have him use the Auburn application. It is much quicker he can upload a transcript from school. It does not need to be official and then just have his official ACT scores sent directly to the school. The entire application takes about 10 minutes to fill out, Auburn says as long as they have test scores and unofficial transcript by the next early action date, you are automatically considered early action. Auburn was the one school we use their own application for because it was so much more straightforward than the common app.
D24 used the Auburn application while I was at work so I did not have a chance to review:) I asked if she sent test scores and she had not so she just did that today. Do you know if the actual application asked if you are TO or submitting scores? She could not remember. Assuming we are OK since she ordered the test scores to be sent- just curious.
donāt know, but you could email the admissions office and ask. They are really nice
I canāt remember but feel like there must have been someplace to indicate that.
I finally got to see D24 (crazy schedules this week) and I asked her in person . She said that she applied with score. And yetā¦.I had to remind her a day later to send the scores form ACT. Struggling here with how much to step inā¦. Fun times!
FWIW it all depends on the kid. In my for S23 we worked on things together. He wrote his essays and all the supplemental questions, etc - but when it came time to put everything into the apps we were at the computer together. The chance to miss something that completely derails an application is just too high. YMMV.
I believe there were two rounds last year but I am not certain.
where do I find his student ID?? Itās being requested for the housing application but we have no idea what it is.
If I remember correctly from last year it was on the acceptance letter. We had to reference that multiple times in the process.
yes - that is where it was! Thanks!
Can I ask what happened? Did he receive a response in EA 1? Same thing happened to my son for EA2ā¦we are waiting, but now expect we will have to wait until December.
My daughter submitted on 10/22 and just (literally) got her acceptance email. So Iām thinking the next wave is rolling out! Good luck to your daughter!
Whoops - please ignore my post. Wrong school posting.
My D24 received an acceptance to Auburn, and she is thrilled! She has not heard anything about merit yet. She does not want to miss out on the housing application. Can she pay the housing deposit without committing to Auburn? We want to be careful and not commit to a School until weāre ready to, but donāt want to miss out on housing. Thanks!
Yes, Auburn allows you to pay $100 housing deposit without paying enrollment. S24 was accepted EA 1 back on 10/13 and has not heard anything about merit yet.
sheāll get an email to her Auburn email account with info on the day and time that she can pay the housing deposit. Donāt have to enroll yet
My son received his acceptance in Oct last year and his merit award on Nov 14th. I would reach out to AU and see what the status is. I would think the EA1 kids would have heard by now. Good luck!
Does anyone know if itās possible to request a transfer to a different college than the one you applied to? I am assuming the one I was accepted into is harder than the one I am now considering.
I am not sure about between colleges but my son was allowed to switch to any of the majors within his college. They offered at the admitted students day and Camp War Eagle just prior to class sign up. I would check with your admissions counselor.
