Auburn's Social Life

I went on a campus tour of Auburn recently; the people were friendly, the campus was pretty, etc, etc.

But the thing I missed is, what is Auburn’s social scene like?
I’m not a sorority girl, I’m not redneck, so what is there to do?
Is it easy to make friends if you don’t rush? And are you exiled if you don’t?
I couldn’t find a clubs list… are there fun clubs to get involved in?
Is it easy to meet people?
Is it a fun campus, outside of drinking?
Does Auburn really become a “ghost town” on the weekends where there aren’t football games?

Thank you! I just want to make sure AU is the right fit (and I really want it to be!)

Auburn has over 300 student organizations to choose from. You can find the link here for organizations - [Auburn University - Prospective Students/url. Auburn has about 30% participation in sororities/fraternities.
My daughter does not drink and plans to have lots of fun as a freshman this Fall. Some things she plans to participate is Auburn University Marching Band, a college church group, intramurals, and any other group which appeals to her on “O” days at the beginning of the Fall semester ([url=http://www.auburn.edu/sga/Events/Odays/odays.html]Auburn University - Student Government Association](http://www.auburn.edu/main/prospectivestudents.html)).
