Does anyone know the likelyhood that Ithaca would ever cancel an audition due to inclement weather? I have an audition there tomorrow for the BFA Musical Theatre and it’s been snowing non-stop since yesterday and is expected to continue into tomorrow. We are expected to get well over a foot of snow. I like in northern NJ, so Ithaca must be getting twice the amount I’m getting. I might have a rough time traveling there. Tomorrow is their last audition date too, so it’s not like I could just reschedule. Anyone think they will reschedule? Or should I just try to make the trek up there. I plan on calling soon to check.

I would call but also ask if your kid got an email. Most schools seem to be pretty good about getting in touch with people about rescheduling auditions because of weather. My d got emails from American and Wagner. Good luck! Hope it works out.

We live not too far away from Ithaca and got quite a bit of snow last night, but the roads are clear. I would be surprised if they canceled–but of course, call and check.

Just called and checked, audition is still on. Although they did say they are extending their video submission deadline if one can not make it to the audition. We live about 3 hours away so we’re going to try and drive there. Thanks :)

I’m going to post a reply a year later in case anyone is ever wondering about this in future. Ithaca College very rarely shuts down. Another helpful thing to know is that you can always reach their campus police by phone, even at night.
