hi everyone... i was wondering what typically happens right after someone has auditioned... do they tell you what you did wrong, what they liked, etc? I've auditioned at three schools so far and no one has said anything to me, good or bad, but I've talked to a few other people who have said the same schools gave them compliments or told them things to work on. Should I be concerned or is it not that big of a deal?

Generally I don't think they give much feedback. Every audition is different, sometimes there is more "chat". Sometimes they might ask you to sing something else or vocalize. I have read on here that there are a few schools that will allow a follow up phone call and give some feedback on the audition. I have know idea what thread it was in, sorry.

I already had one audition, and for that specific school they asked mostly everyone to sing both their songs, and then one of the songs again with some pointers. I think the main point to this was to see if the auditioners were "teachable." Overall, though, you shouldn't expect feedback.

Millikin University I know tells a school right away if the student got in or not, and then what they need to improve on. My advice to you is if you get rejected/accepted to any of the schools soon, call the school and ask what you could improve on. I don't know what the policy is if you haven't heard from the school, but I would assume you COULD, if you wanted, ask them for advice.
