Does any one know if you are fully committed to the audition repertoire pieces that you submit with your application? My D is ready with everything else on her application but she is hesitant to make a final decision now in case anything changes after she has done a few other auditions for other programs. Once you have submitted the list do you know if you can make changes before the audition? If so, do you need to send an email or contact the audition coordinator with the changes? Is anyone else concerned with having to commit to their pieces so many months in advance? I would really appreciate any feedback I can get…

If I recall, you can write on the form that you will submit your audition pieces later...I believe you must send those two weeks ahead of your audition. Do check but that is my recollection without looking it up. It has been discussed in the past on this forum as well. My D applied there around this point in the fall in her admissions year and did not submit her pieces until late December for her mid Jan. audition at UMich.

Pohsmom, when I auditioned last year I put the pieces down that I thought I might be singing and ended up with two completely different pieces when I auditioned in February. I forgot to contact UM to give them those new pieces, and when I got into the audition just announced the two new pieces I had prepared with no problems whatsoever.

Thanks for the information-that takes a lot of pressure off...

My D is auditioning this week and is changing one of her pieces, and the answer from actormcfamous is how I read the web site/application.
