Hi,

I was wondering if the August 25 - 27 Orientation was any different than the other orientation dates?
A friend of mine told me that this date was for international students?
and by this date, is there any chances that the classes have already been filled up?
Thanks a lot

you get the classes that are left over and have spots left. it kind of sucks but i did it to save 600 bucks on a flight since im out of state. content wise, its the same. international students tend to pick that orientation because they’re just plain far and tickets can cost a boat load. they also go at that date so they can move in to their residence instead of a temporary place like orientations 1-7

oooh i see. then i guess it’s better to go with the july 7-9 date then thanks a lot!

I’m OOS as well, so I didn’t want to have to fly back and forth
Should be fun, and as for the classes, you can always call and register, I already got my schedule a couple weeks ago :D

oh? so if you go on the august date, you can just move in right there? you’ll get your dorms and everything?
well that’s a huge advantage, im guessing everyone would want to do that?

Not necessarily. Although it’s convenient that you get to move in, it’s inconvenient that you’re the last orientation. That means you get last pick in all the classes.

If you are the last orientation, you can call ahead and register via phone.

where do we call to register?

you can register online or call.

[Boston University Orientation Make a Reservation](Orientation)

or you can call this number. 617-353-3555

im sorry is this to register for courses in the fall?
