Recommendations will be excellent.

Early action to as many schools as possible.
- University of Chicago
- Columbia University
- University of Pennsylvania
- Duke
- UMich Ann Arbor
- Cornell

I think you should have it easy. But that’s just me :)

thanks! anyone else…?

please help :(

Columbia University

University of Pennsylvania

Duke Match/Low Reach

UMich Ann Arbor In

Cornell

Duke may be a crapshoot, and the Ivies WILL be. I think the odds of you being accepted are good as you are different from most of the people that apply, and they will notice you for your differences which is absolutely a good thing.

Not a ton that stands out… Ivies will be hard.

You say “early action to as many school as possible”
That’s practically impossible. Please, look at the schools and read about their policies first…

Well eh, you’re a decent applicant. My friend who got a predicted 45 got accepted to Oxford but rejected by Stanford and UChicago. She has higher SAT scores, with 800s across the board for SAT 2s (she took science ones) and 2280 for SAT 1, and probably has as many ECs as you do.

iPacman, why was your ‘friend’ rejected from UChicago? I know you weren’t on the admissions board, but in your opinion what could they have faulted her on? Just curious.

Not requesting financial aid under current situation, you are in most of school. With your SAT score, you are definitely in U.Chicago and Duke. Probably other 3 ivies regards you as a domestic student only if you are not requesting financial aid. You will be situated in very good position to enter the Ivies.

Imogen, she attended a British school under the IB system, which probably gave her a disadvantage in American schools. To be honest, I was rather surprised with the rejections myself.

I’m pretty sure of those, UChicago is the only one with EA. The others are all ED (except not sure about UMichigan; I know they have rolling).

I don’t know how it changes for international students but for an American student

 • University of Chicago - Depends on Essays but probably in
 • Columbia University - Reach (It’s a crapshoot for everyone)
 • University of Pennsylvania - Low/Mid Reach
 • Duke - Low Reach
 • UMich Ann Arbor - Match
 • Cornell - Match to Low Reach

hopefullybrown15, yeah I checked - UChicago is the only one with EA.
Thanks for the help, everyone!
