Austin College for STEM for very good student?

My daughter is a good student. She has an UW GPA of 3.8 (I am guessing, I do not have her transcript in front of me, but it is definitely somewhere in that range), has taken all AP or preAP courses (except one course). She is ahead in the maths and sciences. So she will have 6 math credits by the time she finishes and 5 science credits. She also has excellent ECs, volunteer work, a leadership role, and references. I do not know her SAT scores yet, but her PSAT was a 216.

She is unsure what she wants to major in, but does have a list. So, it is narrowed down. Regardless of what she majors in, she wants to be able to do something with music while in school. To top it off, she gets homesick, a lot, and a lot of anxiety.

My son is going to go to Austin College, but he was not a solid applicant like my daughter. His test scores were similar though, a little lower.

But, my daughter really really likes Austin College. And it has a lot of what she wants, from being able to do music without majoring, to being able to double major, and so on. Plus, it looks like she will have good scholarships.

My daughter wants to major in.....Asian Studies, Neuroscience, or Physics. IF she is at a school like Austin College, she will probably double major.

She will likely apply to Rice University as her first choice, and then Austin College as a backup that she feels she would be very happy with.

Do you think this is a bad choice? If homesickness were not an issue, then there were a lot of great schools she was looking at. But, she really has trouble with this. And we do not want her college education to be sabotaged by emotional struggle.

Physics offerings for majors seem to be a bit thin – no statistical and thermal physics course, only one semester of advanced quantum mechanics and electricity/magnetism, and not much in the way of advanced electives:
