Hi,

I recieved my waitlist letter today. On it, it talks about Oxford College at Emory as another way of getting in the university. Does this mean automatic entrance into Oxford college? Thanks

no idea, but oxford is COMPLETELY different from Emory, doesnt seem worth it to go to Emory for only junior and senior years.

yes, it is auto transfer to Emory after two years at Oxford -- the term they use is "Continuee"

It's a great way for them to get tuition money from underqualified applicants who would otherwise tarnish Emory's rankings and perceived selectivity.

i think the OP meant is what she recieved an automatic acceptance to Oxford.

Btw, i have no idea why i chose she, correct me if i'm wrong avanex

good catch, Pyrrhus.

I don't know what the letter said, but I was under the impression that Emory's rejected/WL's kids need to apply separately to Oxford, which has late rolling admissions for that very reason.

oxford has a completely different admissions process
