Automatic Rejection?

I was wondering if anyone thought that my SAT scores would be reason for automatic rejection from the following schools.

I'm applying for Transfer to Colgate and Cornell for the Fall 2008 semester.

I am currently a Freshman at NYU.

HS GPA: 3.55 uw
College GPA: 3.5 (first semester)
SATS: 600 V 620 Math 640 Writing
ECs:- Varsity Golf Team all four years of HS, captain the last two years
- Currently on NYU Golf team
- Did a pre-college summer program at Brown University in Medicine (I'm on a pre-med track)
- Certified and practicing EMT
- hospital volunteer all 4 years of HS and continue to volunteer at the hospital

Automatic rejection seems unlikely, but they may harm your chances.

thanks Newengsocsciman

any other opinions?

It will be factored in, but if you have other outstanding stats on your application, they're not so low than those other aspects can't bring it up.

They're low, but they won't destroy you by themselves.

thanks for the opinions

Yeah, as long as the rest of your app is strong, it won't be an auto-reject. Plus, NYU is a great school, so you musthave done something right the first time around. Cornell might be a bit reachy but Colgate sounds good.

any others?

...........?

Same as everyone else. An 1800+ SAT score is definitely not grounds for an automatic rejection. And with a strong overall application, getting into Colgate is definitely realistic.
