Just got my big gold envelope in the mail today. My status changed on myuw.edu on Friday, so it took about 5 days for the letter to come. Super excited to finally get everything moving and register for classes. Anyone else have an idea of what classes they’re taking this fall?
@ECEhopeful253 May I ask what is your deadline?
Oh my I have a really bad feeling about this. nothing on mine uw page have changed. :((( am I the only one ME major here ?
@tversace Good to know there are someone applied a similar major as mine. I feel like they have been focusing biology in the past three days, but since we share the same orientation, I hope we can hear back soon. Getting really depressed now, and I wish everything works out for us. :’(
Btw, just saw your other comment about the unofficial transcript. Congrats! But what does the major shows? And may I ask which linguistic major did you apply to? Really worried right now…
@Hoang1 I know the feeling! But rest assured, we still have more than half of July left over to get decisions. I saw last year some people didn’t actually get their envelopes until mid-august! I seriously hope I don’t have to wait that long. I will be away most of August and getting nervous about missing orientations because of that and then missing out on signing up for classes early enough (if I get in, that is. . . ) @thaipq do you know what your orientation dates are to choose from?
@CompSci18 I didn’t choose yet since I still need to give a proof of measles immunity. After that, I can choose what date I want to attend the A&O.
@thaipq Oh, I see. I though it was listed with the envelope stuff.
Out-of-state applicant here. I haven’t noticed any updates to my application, nor my unofficial transcript page. I applied as an Environmental Studies: Food Studies major at the junior level coming from a California CC. I’ve been accepted to UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis, and Cal Poly SLO and since I’ve received a good financial aid package from Cal, I’ll be going there, but I still wanted to see the outcome of my UW application.
What sucks is that we can’t pay the advising and orientation fee online, and then immediately schedule our orientation session. I have to make travel plans across the country for this- and on a relatively small time frame!
@thaipq My deadline? If you meant to submit my intent to enroll and new student fee, it’s August 1st.
@Meowwz @thaipq I applied to the Linguistics major at UW Seattle and GLBS at UW Tacoma. On my unofficial transcript it used to say “college - Tacoma” and “major - GLBS” but after checking yesterday, it changed to “college - arts and science” and “major - pre humanities”. I just checked “admissions” and it says “Congratulations!” and that I was accepted! Good luck, @Meowwz!
To those who have gotten letters, how close to the Seattle campus do you live and how long did it take to get the letter from the moment your unofficial transcript changed? I’m wondering if that means my letter will be coming soon? I live about 40 minutes south of Seattle so I’m wondering if my letter is on the way.
@tversace please tell me how you check your application status because my unofficial transcript only says uw bothell after I accepted the bothell offer and I cant see the link to my seattle application anymore
@mikeaj5 thats weird… so when you first log in to the first page, itll say “check your application information” in a purple bar and then under it should be your application(s). My Tacoma one says it was just reviewed but my Seattle one says “Congratulations!” My unofficial transcript changed as well (I mentioned that on the last page). If your apps are missing your computer might be glitching? I dont think they should be gone? Im sorry :-/
Has anyone received any information about financial aid?
@tversace I live in Tacoma, so probably near you. Myuw changed on Friday and my letter came on Wednesday.
I live near to UW ( Beacon Hill) . my status changed on Friday, and the letter came on Wednesday as well.
@mikeaj5 That is happening to me too. When I first accepted Bothell, myuw changed to a new format. I contacted admissions about it, making sure my application for Seattle was still available to them, and it was. They said they weren’t sure why the server changed but my application was still being considered. That was mid June though… and I still haven’t heard back/the server still won’t let me check my application status. I’m thinking about sending them another message asking about my app status, but either way I’ll find out through the mail at some point. Let me know if you have found a way to view your status.
@tversace Extremely nervous right now :’(. Anyway, congrats.
@Grey007 I just got accepted into UW last week and I receive an email on financial aid right after that. It should also be in the financial aid tab on your myuw page.
