Nope I just finished my first year at a local CC so I still have classes left, plus I’ll be applying for EE.
Just hoping the transcript load guarantees admission…
For Anyone who applied for the psychology major, I got an email from admissions saying that my application is still under review. But we will get something in the mail by the last day of July. Not sure if any other psych majors have heard back yet, but I’m assuming it must be one of the last decisions. Fingers crossed!
That’s a relief! I was getting worried! But wait, I applied for Psychology and never got an email from admissions saying this? Did you apply directly for the major? Cuz I know you have to take BioPsychology and Research Methods at UW to apply to the department. Regardless tho, that’s good news.
I emailed them last week about it because I’m unable to see my app status on myuw. But I took bio psych and research methods already so I believe I’m applying directly to the major. It’s all a little confusing. If I don’t get into the major right away I think you can apply the first quarter you are at uw.
@vantanlac did they tell you if they will send decision as mail or email?
That is the full email that i received from them. I think they meant the decision on the uw site.
@sez2013 @TheGodfather19 Hey guys, have you checked the UW portal? I’m assuming you have, but if not there is a link to your application on the site and if a decision has been made it will update to inform you.
I applied for the Psych major (without completing the Research class) but still got accepted on Wednesday. I’m not sure if that means directly to the department, but that is what I assumed when reading the other forums. I was on the cusp of the acceptance average (3.45 GPA) but always aced my Psych classes so that probably helped me a lot in the end. I am also a resident of WA state and so that helps too.
Anyways, I just wanted to wish you guys luck. All us Psych people have to stick together!

I received an offer from CEE^ _^.But my first preference is ME, and I still have about a week to wait for ME dept. to make their decision.
Hello folks, I applied to Computer Science as first preference and Computer Engineering as second. I got accepted but I am not sure which department I got accepted. Do you know how to check which major I got in? My MyUW unofficial transcript is not updated yet. If you know another way to check it, please let me know
Congratulations to those accepted! I think it’d be cool if there was a way to organize a meet-up once we get to UW. I feel like I already know you guys!
@HelloUW when you get into the CSE department you can pick either CompE or CS when you accept the offer. Congrats!
@thelonelyhippo since I accepted uw bothell I can’t check the status of my Seattle application. That’s why I emailed them. I have to wait for the mail
@desunaito did you apply to CS and CE too? How did you know it will work like that? Since my advisor at previous school said those two major are separated, I just want to make sure to proceed I-ACCEPT! form. Thank you!
@HelloUW allow me to explain: you need to be accepted into either CS or CE first, while studying , you will be allowed to switch between two majors since they are very similar to each other. All you need is to send an email to advisors and say you want to switch.
And about checking what major you are in now, go to your unofficial transcript page to check. This is the only way I know so far.

@CompSci18 congrats again, I accepted the offer from UWB but since I got accepted to UW, I will go to UW! I think we sometimes will be in same class
