I missed the deadline (damnit) because I thought it was tonight at midnight and not 8 am. I feel like I had a pretty good shot, is it very slim to none to get in on the additional space application? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure if you turn it in tonight, they wont penalize you. That's just a guess though. Many colleges are pretty flexible.

anyone else?

Yeah, I already screwed up a little on mine (teacher didn't send the signature form with her recommendation), but they said it wasn't a big deal. Try to submit it and see what happens, and I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck!

i'm in the same situation as you. called admissions today at around 4, mostly blubbering from the hysteria (unc is like my top choice, i was submitting last minute trying to get everything perfect). talked to a counselor, he said that he's gotten a couple calls like mine today. he says that this year, they'll group the "space available" pool in with the "regular admissions" pool because people have been having a lot of problems with the deadline - getting credit card payments in and all. he said to send it in as soon as possible.

i guess that's sort of a blessing then - i just hope he remembers! everything's sort of hanging on a prayer right now. feel free to call them tomorrow to make sure, their admissions office is open from 8am to 5pm est :)

let me know how it goes!
