<p>I almost find it insulting to blame (give credit) for good grades on “genius”, and not the amount of time I put in to make them happen.</p>
<p>If you put in so much time to “make them happen”, then I don’t understand why you would say it is not hard to get a 3.7+ GPA. It definitely qualifies as hard IMHO to combine the perseverance, time management ability, efficient study habits, and natural intelligence (which someone who drops out of high school at age 16 and then pulls a near-4.0 GPA clearly possesses) required to make high grades without it consuming your entire life.</p>
<p>You are most likely smart and hardworking, so don’t downplay these traits by claiming 3.7+ GPA’s are “not hard” to get. </p>
<p>I guess it depends on one’s definition of hard, but I think its safe to assume the majority of students have a very different concept of difficulty than you</p>
