I'm going to be a senior this fall and I was really inteterested in UCI. I was wondering, from those of you who are either attending, or got admitted, what your SAT/ACT scores were. I'd like to compare them to mine to see what I should work on since I'm still taking a few more tests before I apply. Thanks! :)

I got a 2000, but high SAT =/= admission.

I went on a UCI tour this spring and the tour guide told us the average SAT scores for the incoming freshmen class of 07-08 was 1850ish. Of the people going to UCI this year from my high school, the majority of them had SAT scores of 1850-2000ish.

I had a 1720, but I had a high GPA, took Honors and AP classes, and had good e.c.

1950, 4.0 uc gpa

My SAT score was 1910

SAT was 1860. ACT score was 30.

Here is a link that gives the statistics for 2009: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/pdf/uci_chart.pdf

1800 3.6gpa

Okay thanks a lot, this is quite reassuring. I’ve taken the SAT three times and my highest is a 1770. I really seem to struggle with the SAT and my parents want me to take it one more time senior year in the fall. I might be able to pull it up to a 1800 but I’m still iffy about taking it so many times. I’m aiming for a 29/30 on the ACT because I tend to do better on that. And my GPA as of junior year is about a 3.875.

lnsmith: Yeah my SATs are similar. What was your GPA?

I got rejected but got in by appeal/waitlist later…

my sat1 was 1700 and my gpa weighted was 4.13 with many ec’s and ap/honors.
If i could go back i’d improve that sat score really kinda ruined my admissions process for irvine since i only got in a week or two ago

1810 sat, 28 act, 3.81 uc gpa

alkaalice: I had a 4.2 for my sophomore and junior year. I hadn’t done so great my senior year (which was a 3.6)

That’s the SAT score I’m aiming for. However if I do better on my ACT (like a 28/29) and don’t retake my SAT, would that look better? Because isn’t a 28 higher than a 1770 SAT score?

I just feel like I have a big shot at doing better on the ACT than the SAT

2240 but im an outlier

1900 would be a good benchmark given decent EC/GPA/essay

2280 3.1 gpa -__- typical smart but lazy kid syndrome

I had a 4.5 uc gpa with a 2050
