What's the minimum you need to get into UCI?

Hi,

I was looking at some stats today for the UC's and I looked at UCR's and I realized how easy it was to get into. In fact TOO easy. It's almost as if they don't even care who they let in. So basically I don't want to go there anymore.

So I was wondering about UCI....

I don't want those "UC eligibility requirements" stats or anything because it will just say "You need a 3.0 and required courses blah blah blah" and obviously you need better than that.

So I wanted to know on average what kind of GPA you need to get into UCI and what kind of SAT Score and how many EC's you need. Is a 3.5 enough, is an 1800 enough, is 100 hours of hopsital service enough? Those aren't my scores I'm just saying in general. I am a California resident btw.

bump.............

Well, according to the data I have, the average SAT score for UCI is 1214/1600, 1850/2400 and the average GPA is 3.72. However, I think the GPA listed here is the UC GPA, which means you add up to 8 semesters worth of honors/AP credit, which will probably bump a 3.5 up to a 3.7.

As for ECs, I don't think UCI looks into it very much... I know Berkeley always has, and LA is starting now, but I think the others aren't very holistic in admissions. Since you're instate, I'm assuming that if you write good essays, you'd have a good shot.

UCI's a match.

UCI: Slight Reach

95% acceptances are instate, you have great chance. Weighted gpa around 3.9 and 1900 should be enough for you to get in.
