I've been looking at UCI as a potential school to apply to after visiting it over the summer.

I'm a junior in high school and have about a 3.6 GPA for 10th-11th, though that should go up after this semester.

I took the SAT back in November without much preparation and scored a 1950, I’m retaking it again on March 10 and I'm confident I can score at least a 2100.

I've heard many horror stories from people applying in the UC system about how you MUST have over a 4.0 GPA and super high SAT scores. So I’m curious to know where I stand compared to students who have been admitted.

Also, though I forgot to put this in the title, does UCI offer any summer programs for highschool students in the areas of research or just taking classes?

Looks like UCI has a "Cosmos" program for Mathematics and Science.
Deadline to sign up is March 15. If you want to do any of these summer programs better start filling out apps.

I found a page from last year that lists the high school programs for Summer 2006. Maybe you can check them out and see which ones they are having again this year.

At UCI, any HS student with a 3.0 (?) and a teacher rec can take any lower division, non-writing class during the summer. You can request an application from the admissions/summer school and if the class is open after everyone else has registered, the you are in.
