Hey guys,

The 25-75% SAT for the 2006 entering class was 1260-1480. I assume that OOS were most likely at the upper end of this range, so I'd say you probably need high 1300's/3.6+.

yeah i got in with a 2140 but had to go through the WL with a 3.5 uw

I'd guess that you could mostly look at the 25/75 range because the VAST majority of people in Michigan focus on the ACT.

Check what % of people have SAT scores submitted, and then compare that to the instate/OOS. I'm guessing that a strong overlap will be there.

Nah, I think the entering class range was actually 1210 - 1420.

bunny that's the old figures...
anyway.. i got in with a 1550 and around 3.0 GPA OOS

I got in with a 1330/1940 and I'm international.

is international normally considered harder or easier than domestic oos?

2006 entering class 25-75% SAT was 1260-1480. I'm sure it'll be even higher this year, perhaps 1300-1500? That'd be pretty sweet. Then again, most people who take the SAT are from OOS, so I don't know how accurate a representation of the student body this is.

im currently on the waitlist with a 2240, im guessing my uw gpa did me in, i think its around 3.5

btw, my advice to any oos hopefuls for next year would be to also apply to the university of wisconsin, the two schools are about as similar to each other in everything as two schools can be, and i think madison is nicer than ann arbor. they also love oos kids where as michigan does not

I got in with a 3.45 and a 2140 OOS (off the waitlist last week)

I'm hoping 3rd generation legacy will kind of put an oos applicant like me on the same plane as regular in-state applicants.

so i'm guessing a 1280 with a 3.6ish uw. will do me no good?

nope, it won't. I can tell you right now you'll get waitlisted, unless you write super duper amazing essays.

my s had a 3.8uw and 1510/2150 oos. he is going to the honors program

Got in with 3.8 uw and 1370/1960 OOS/International

Hi My son got in to U Mich in December 2006 for next fall with V 680 M 770 and Wr 710 he's all AP/honors classes and his average is 91.7. A week after admission he was invited and accepted into the Honors Program. Hope that's helpful. We are from Great Neck Long Island.

I have 1970 , verbal 580, writing 630, math 760. I just took it again saturday so hopefully my verbal is at least 630. GPA is like around 3.6, but that probably means a 3.9 or 4.0 at other schools.

Wisconsin is very similar to Michigan?

Shub, I would recommend either trying the SAT again or doing the ACT. With those stats OOS, you need some VERY impressive EC's and/or essays to get accepted. And with the scores they don't go by date, they pick the highest ones.

I'm not aware of the avg. OOS score but, for what it's worth, I got accepted OOS (CT) with 800M 700V 750W.
