Hi guys, I have a question about the SAT 2 that I could never find the answer on internet (even google couldn't answer this !!!). I know that if you take more than 3 times of the SAT, then you'll get an average score of those four results as your final SAT grade. My question is, does the SAT 2 also follows this average policy as the SAT does?? For example, will I get an average score of SAT 2 on French if I take it more than three times??? I'm desperate to know this.

" I know that if you take more than 3 times of the SAT, then you’ll get an average score of those four results as your final SAT grade."

I’ve never heard this statement. Where did you hear it from?

I was told this from one of my friends who took the SAT this year for the first time. Is this a false statement? I’m a current freshmen and I have no clue on SAT policy. Please let me know

I’m pretty sure that is a false statement.

Also there is no “final SAT grade” obtained from your average three scores. You can take the SAT as many times as you wish, although it’s usually frowned upon.

So it doesn’t hurt me to take as many SATs as I wish and when it comes to the admission process, the college won’t know how many times I took the SAT since I get to pick and send the best score among every SAT score I’ve got throught the year. Is that correct?

Some (not all) colleges require you to send in all SAT scores, but I’m not too sure which ones. Taking the SAT a bunch of times will cost you money and a lot of Saturdays, so you’ll probably be better off taking it no more than three times.

I see now. Thank you so much for answering my question!!
