If I were to take the SAT 1 Reasoning test for the 3rd time, would they start averaging my scores? How does that work? Also, if I were to take the ACT and say do well on it, how would that look if my SAT 1 scores are fairly low?

also...i have taken the old sat. does that even matter?

SEARCH THE FORUMS FIRST, the topics you guys post on have ALL been discussed and all of these questions have been answered. I remember answering this question just last week on another thread. Anyways, just to repeat my answer, averaging scores is a total and utter MYTH. Furthermore, if you took the ACT and did well, then you would send the ACT score to the college and NOT the SAT Score. Your old sat does not generally matter unless you have taken the writing SAT II as well.
