Sorry if there’s a similar thread… I didn’t have time to look
Would it be worth mentioning this to my reach schools? (some Ivies, Stanford, Northwestern etc.)
I’ve been named a ‘Secretary of Education Scholar’ by my state’s department of education. I got invited to some fancy dinner and get to meet the governor and the secretary of education. The award basically goes to the top two seniors from every public school. I kind of want to send an update but I don’t want to look like a noob next to people like ISEF winners/finalists, although my other ECs are probably better than the average applicant’s.
I DO come from a small state that’s pretty underrepresented in Ivy admissions though, my GC did say it’s kind of a big deal state-wise.
So…to update or not to update?
