you've got a hell of a lot of awards, activities going for you.
honestly, i don't think the ivy leagues would take you.

^ Haha. (10char)

Wait why would awards be bad? Wouldn't it show commitment?

Well, I'm no good at these things, but awards aren't enough. You need to have grades, a ton of great extracurriculars, and other important other information that you'll need to put in order for us––rather them––to assess a certain je ne se quois about you as a student, as a college applicant, and as a human with character. Am I right? I have no clue what else he needs to provide: GPA is fine, but what about grades? Leadership roles in more ECs? You need to provide more information so a greater understanding of yourself and your standing against your heavy competition can be achieved.

The grades are reflected in the GPA, the ECs are also listed. I have leadership: Debate Team Captian, Directed defensive formation, Treausrer of English Honor Society. I have alot of awards bc our debate team is active, I try hard at stuff and The LORD has blessed me to win. I don't understand how awards could be bad.

I'd say you're in at most. AA baby.

So what is your grading scale. Normal grade scales only give one full weight for classes....thus the highest would jump from a 4.0 to a 5.0...so is your normal scale on a 5.0 and thus the highest is a 6.0? If so then your UW GPA is incredibly low. If not I dont know how you would achieve a 5.49.

I think you have a much better than average chance of getting into these schools, including the Ivies. No guarantees but I would be that you would get into most of them. You have a great profile.

Other schools woulkd depend on what your intended major was.

Good luck.

Our schools uses the unweighted on a 4.0 scale and the weighted on a 6.0 scale, but you cannot get a 6.0 bc of required classes, about the highest you can get is a 5.8. My intended major is chemistry.

Oh and when I submit do you think that i should leave off some of the awards? I was hoping that they would show that i excelled at the things that i did and not just did them.

bump

When sophiegirl said, "you've got a hell of a lot of awards, activities going for you. honestly, i don't think the ivy leagues would take you," I thought she was being sarcastic. You definitely stand a chance! The awards are proof of excellence and you should mention them. Usually leadership shows commitment, but you have awards to show all that.

Thanks, that makes me feel alot better!!!!
