<p>Hey! I'm a rising junior from Texas...I wanna know if i am on the right track for Rice, MIT, UT Austin (automatically accepted...top 10% rule)...Stanford. For my junior year I will be going to TAMS (Texas Academy of Math and Science), which is a residential program where students live on the campus of the University of North Texas, and take college classes.</p>

GPA: 3.9ish
Rank: 14 of ~1000</p>

<p>Local Leadership program (i think it was like a 10% chance of acceptance)</p>

<p>Dang it..owell this is soo far... hopefully junior year will be better....do u guys have some suggestions...any advice.. please help me instead of saying stuff like oooo it's too early... i dun care... i pretty much had fun in my freshman year pretty much partying wit friends and had some fun in sophomore year too... now i wanna actually work. Oh and should I do NHS...or should I just like not waste my time doing NHS cause I am thinking about joining FBLA in my junior year cause a lot of ppl from my school go to state in FBLA</p>

<p>A bit late, I know, but I just wanted to tell you that the top ten percent rule doesn't apply to tamsters. In fact, if you want to get into UT, you pretty much have to get the fairly decent GPA of 3.7ish, a fact which causes quite a bit of heartache to those who left their guaranteed slot in via top ten to come to tams.</p>
