Awards/Honors Question

<p>On the common application, it states that we should not include awards/honors from before ninth grade, but I passed the CM Adv. (level 10) for Piano in 8th grade. This is early and usually passed later but because it was 8th grade should/can I still put it on the list? It would help show that I am not solely concentrated on math/science.</p>

<p>I read in one of the old yale threads that middle school awards should not be placed because I am not comparing to middle schoolers, but this award isn't middle school orientated, I just passed earlier through a series of fortunate events. Any help is greatly appreciated</p>

<p>Is level 10 at all impressive for a 9th grader? Have you advanced to a higher level since? If so, put that in instead. The achievement should be listed somewhere. Maybe put it down for 9th grade then add (rec’d 10/10/06), or whenever.</p>
