Awards? Too Late?

Hi I am going to be a senior and obviously college applications.. but I have like no awards atleast I don't seem to recognize any of them. What are some of the awards you put down? Also, any ideas on what I could put down that I may not even have known like always Honor Roll or something? Please help!

Please give more details... have you been on Honor Roll? Any Sports recognition? Community?

You don't have to have any awards at all. A lot of my friends got into top schools without any awards. If you are a National Merit Semifinalist or National Merit Commended Student or AP Scholar those all count as honors. You can also list whatever AP scores you got on the awards section, because in a way any good scores you get on a college-level exam is an achievement. It kind of depends what activities you do. For example, if you are on a sports team, then you're more likely to get some kind of recognition. I was on the math team, the Latin quiz bowl team, and the chess team, so naturally it was easier for me to win some kind of award than if I had done something else, like more volunteering or a job or the environmental club. It's not bad to not have awards/honors. A lot of my friends don't do competition-like activities, so there are not many awards/honors to get, and that's fine. Don't just do more activities, just to get awards, although I get the feeling that you're not.

Some awards you might not have considered:
- anything for National Merit
- AP scores
- AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction,...

Ya I play sports and have lettered. Also, I have maintained honor roll every quarter so would it acceptable to put that down?
I think I am AP Scholar this year so I could use that.
