I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up having a b+ for bc calc for 2nd term. I had an A- first term, will this look like slacking? I have all As and one A- in ap lit for my other grades. I really have been trying hard, it’s just that my school moved to a new schedule that’s terrible for APs, and with all the snow days we’ve been having and how our new schedule works out, my teacher only put in 4 assignments for term 2 (vs. 15 from term 1). I got a bad grade one 1 test, and it doesn’t seem like I’ll be able to bring it up. Should I be worried? I got deferred from Yale, and my second choice is Dartmouth, if that gives you any idea of the types of schools I’m applying to. Obviously I know that optimally these schools would want to see all As, but is a b+ in bc that bad? Any advice would seriously be appreciated, it may seem small but idk if I should be concerned about this.
Hardly.
No. This question has literally come up a half dozen times this week alone (and it’s only Tuesday).
If you get rejected for a B+, IMO, you would not have been accepted with an A. Yale, Dartmouth, and its peers practice holistic admissions. Grades are certainly a part of the application packet, but only one part.
