My future plan is something like: learn something abt business or econ at college and then get a job bla bla bla. I will not attend grad school immediately after college. Maybe ill attend b-school (grad school) after several yrs of working.

Sooooo, whether attend b-school or get into econ dept?? Just dont know which is the wise choice. Some say econ program in Art and Science school is too out of way, some tells that econ will benefit me more in the long run...

You need to give more details. Are you looking at top schools, Ivies, publics, or what? Also, do you have contacts in business or a family with a business? What sort of business-related job do you hope to have and in what industry? Some people with business undergraduate degrees end up in retail management or sales when they were anticipating Wall Street analysis jobs. Some people with economics undergraduate degrees end up pretty much unemployed. Others in both categories do fine. If you really plan to get an MBA, it seems better (to me at least) to have your undergrad degree be a little different- econ, math, computers, liberal arts, etc.

yeah...i plan to get an MBA degree...
I like somewhere kinda liberal arts, and my list include w&m, bates and colby. University seem okay for me anyway, like uva, north carolina and tufts. Just want to know the difference in job placement between a b-school graduate and an econ graduate (after i graduate from college)?
