Hi! I’m rising senior who wants to put BU on my college list, but I’m really confused about this BA/MA program that’s offered. First of all, my intended major is astrophysics, but when I look on the website (http://www.bu.edu/academics/cas/programs/astronomy/ba-ma-astrophysics/) it talks about getting your masters. Does this mean if I do end up declaring astrophysics my major, I have no choice but to participate in this program? How does this work if you want to apply to graduate school to get your PhD? Any help is appreciated!

There’s also a plain “BA in astronomy” page there…what are you confused about?
But I don’t want to major in astronomy, I want to major in astrophysics.
