BA/MD Program at U of Minnesota Twin Cities

I’m applying for the BA/MD 7 year program at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Can anyone assist me in telling me the requirements to apply? I know that a resume, personal statement, diversity letter, and supplemental essays are required. What else is required? Also, what are the topics for the supplemental essays?

Lastly, in the case I don’t make it (there’s a very low acceptance rate), can I still apply to the U of M Twin Cities vía Common Application as an incoming Undergraduate Freshman, or is the BA/MD program the only application to the U of M I can submit?
Thanks!

This is an invite-only process for a handful of admitted students who appear to be good candidates and who have indicated an interest in med. school. They also need to be MN residents. Here are the details:

Not being admitted to this special program should not compromise your overall admission to CLA. In fact you would have to be admitted to CLA first before you can even be considered.

Thanks! I am actually a MN resident. Should I apply to U of M College of Liberal Arts first, and then apply to the BAMD program?

You might call Admissions and ask them how to proceed but the instructions sugges that you should go ahead and apply to CLA and indicate an intention to do med. school. There will be a few opportunities on the CA to do that. If I’m reading those guidelines correctly, you can’t be invited to apply for the special BA/MD program till you’ve been accepted to CLA (and of course you can’t be accepted to CLA till you apply . . . ).

They start issuing decisions in October so Now is a great time to get that application in. Good Luck!

Ok, thank you very much for the help!
