BA or BFA???

I was looking at some colleges and their programs on the websites, and I saw that you could earn either a BA or BFA in the same subject. Is there a big difference? Is one more worthwhile than the other? Do they take the sam amount of time? Just wondering if anyone knew.

BFAs involve more credits (more time). If a school has both a BA and a BFA program then the BA may be in a non-performance discipline or the BA students may not have access to the same classes and opportunitites. The BFA also generally has many fewer general education or liberal arts classes. What subject specifically are you looking at??

Generally speaking, BA programs are 1/3 art, 2/3 general education. BFAs are around 2/3 art, 1/3 general education.
