BA vs BS

Hi,

I'm looking into McGill software engineering program. I don't have high school chemistry and saw that I could do software engineering by going through the Faculty of Arts (and science ?)

Now to do this I have to take a major in SE and a minor too. But it's said I won't be a software engineer if I take only the major.

What about the major AND the minor ? Should I go back to high school to get my missing science classes to the risk of my grades dropping a little ? I live in Quebec where we have CEGEP which is like college. I would have to take a scientific program after a do my chemistry in HS. I'm doing a program with maths too.

So that's it and sorry if I'm in the wrong section or if this particular question have discussed already. I'm new to CC, is there a presentation section ?

Thank you

Pick up the phone, and call McGill. They will be able to answer your questions.

I sent them a message a few days ago, I’ll try on the phone. But does it make any difference when it’s time to get a job ? Are BS better viewed than BA by interviewers ?
