I’m choosing between Babson College and American University to study international business and political science. The exact concentration at Babson is International Business Environment, and at American the major is Business, Language, and Culture. I’d take advantage of Babson’s relationship with Wellesly for the political science minor. Overall, both campuses appeal to me but I’m more fond of Washington DC, and American’s larger size. At the same time, Babson has a stronger business program than American. I’m not sure exactly what I want to do after college, but I’m thinking of global business management for a multinational firm (maybe fashion or cosmetics), or I may go to law school. Money is a complete non-factor in this decision. Which should I choose?
I’d go with American. DC is great for internships plus if you change your mind there are many more majors to pursue.
Having attended American University for 4 years in DC as an undergraduate (BSBA - Kogod) & Babson for 2 years for my MBA, I would recommend American. One of the primary reasons is that you have 2 campuses in DC… Both AU’s campus and Washington, DC, itself! DC unto itself is an excellent learning campus! For Professors so many more resources! NJR#3
