I plan on working towards receiving a MBA no matter what I major in (either math or business oriented), and right now I am leaning towards majoring in Statistics. I am a very analytical person, who enjoys math and loves problem solving. I also enjoy working with people. Do you think that a Statistics major with a MBA would be highly employable? What career opportunities would be available? Thanks.

The question is more: is a statistics major employable from undergrad? Because MBA programs usually ask for work experience beforehand.

Not all MBA programs ask for work experience, but those that do not expect you to have earned a business degree prior or to take a bunch of courses that an undergraduate business graduate would have.

As for career opportunities, I would try O*Net or the bureau of labor statistics. They would list jobs and titles applicable to the degree you have and/or skills.

The MBA programs that don’t require work experience may not be worth it. In general, try to aim for the M7 (or at least top 15) b-schools. Unlike undergrad (for the most part, when looking at good flagships and up), where you go to b-school does make a difference.
