<p>hi stargirl! I used to go to Winsor and while I don’t anymore I had a fantastic experience there. What grade would you be applying for? PM any questions!</p>
<p>I’m going to Winsor next year! Just out of curiosity did you graduate or leave? If you left, why did you? Just wondering cause I am entering there next year.</p>
<p>I second, and encourage Milton. Mix of day and boarders, excellent academics, nice setting, good arts. Try a visit. Arguably the best school in the Boston area (and that’s saying a lot, many good schools there).</p>
<p>Milton is definitely a great school, but I wouldn’t quite say the best. Certainly in the top ten, but with schools like Andover, RL, Winsor, etc. </p>
<p>The only thing about Milton is that I have heard there is sometimes a little bit of tension between the day students and boarders. I don’t know, but I read that somewhere on CC. Great academics and arts though!</p>

<p>One more thing; please don’t get into the “best school” thing. There are a bunch of threads like that, and I don’t want it to be one I started. It all comes down to fit, right?

<p>Don’t want to raise any false hopes, but Hotchkiss says they are open for late applicants in the year of 2013-14.</p>

<p>YAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAY!! So glad you are looking at Winsor! Also, look into hotchkiss cause apparently they are taking late applicants!</p>
<p>Just a warning, don’t use Winsor as your safety school- acceptance is still roughly 20%. I hope you get in, but it isn’t quite a safety.</p>
<p>I doubt Hotchkiss gives FA to late applicants, and I’d need to skip eighth grade.</p>
