<p>No one will “look down on” your decision, because it’s what normally occurs when people on a waitlist get an offer of admission. Everyone who accepts a position on a waitlist has to secure a spot elsewhere while they are waiting. There’s nothing else you need to do, though it would be nice to explain why you decided not to attend. Colleges like to know about the competition. Meanwhile, you can feel happy that someone else will be thrilled to be offered your spot.</p>
