How important is it to get all 5's? People at my school go crazy over AP exams/AP classes. I've never earned anything lower than a three, but it's intimidating when my classmates are freaked out over getting a four. In your experience, how much does it all matter?

AP Classes are important in that they represent the challenge you take in your schedule. They also weight your GPA which is good. AP Scores are most important to the mark to whether you passed or not ( 3 or above). While obviously its best to achieve all 5’s, receiving 4’s are not bad. The scores above 3 refer to amount of college credit received. Some colleges will not offer college credit despite achieving a 5 in the AP course. I hope this helped and if you have time i would appreciate if you could chance me

AP Classes matter due to course rigor, but not getting all 5’s does not matter in admissions. Your AP scores do not affect your decisions since they’re optional (self-reported). They are, however, important if you want college credit.

If you got all 5’s, the officers would probably go “Oh, nice.” If you got one 4, same deal. If you had a couple 3’s and 4’s, or even a 2, it wouldn’t really matter, but obviously better scores are more impressive. Still, APs carry very weak weight if any with admissions decisions. They’re important for credit.
