Do you think I'll make it?

EC's help you get into Yale if you have the stats to back it up. HYPS use EC's to distinguish between all the 2200+/Top5% students that apply there.

rejection from Yale/Princeton
High reach for Tufts
Don't know too much about the other colleges

You should try retaking the SAT/ACT. Study big time/get good scores (2200+/33+) and you'll have a chance at Yale/Princeton. Otherwise I just don't see you getting it with those stats.

I'd say Tufts and Middlebury are big reaches too -- your stats just can't stand up there when yo udon't hav ethe grades to back them up -- you need to re-think your list and find schools you LOVE that you can get into with more than a 30/70 chance.

for yale and princeton, mediocre rank. terrible test scores, great ECs like you said

it's tough, but i think you have a 50 50 shot at yale and princeton. can't you retake the SAT in the fall?

So I actually applied with these stats 2 years ago. I got in everywhere except Tufts. I'm currently matriculated at Yale and will be a junior there in the fall.

SATs and Boards in general don't really matter all that much. I have a lot of friends at Yale who did not do so well on their boards, but rather got good grades and had amazing experiences and leadership potential. It seems like everyone on CC is so worried about boards that they don't take into account who they actually are. I work for the admissions office at Yale, and they always are saying how they are looking for students that do fabulous things, not those who score highly on tests. Keep that in mind, it's really important.

hey!!! another "experiment"! i'm glad that i gave you a 50 50 shot...

take into account though, 2 years ago is still less competition than next february when adcoms decide admit/reject...

i think you have a shot
hey you have a 0% chance to get in if you dont apply so might as well apply... you never know

your scores are too low for ivies
sketchy= tufts
in at the rest

He's full of it.

EC's should be considered, but not highly important. Because daddy bathes his children in a bathtub of cash, his children don't deserve to get into better colleges.

Wow, you were lucky to have gotten into Yale. If you had applied this year or next year, you definitely would've gotten rejected.
