I need advice on weather or not to apply to Yale SCEA...I REALLY want to go there, but I don't know if it would be a good idea to apply early. What do you think?
my stats in brief:
Iv had excellent marks since grade 9 (4.0/4.0 no weighing...honors classes...full IB diploma with 4 HL's my predicted is 38/42...Im re- taking the SAT's in October I think ill get at least a 2100.. ranked 1/7 in my class now and in my old school i must have been like 3/250 or something like that
SAT 2s: 800 in Spanish and 780 in bio m ...
I speak English, Arabic, French and Spanish fluently + some Russian (take outside of school Spanish seminars - its like a cultural discussion group)

some things iv prolly forgotten ..
i have one stellar essay and one so-so essay that im still working on ... my recs will be quiet good
o ya im a VERY international student (move all over the place) and I need fin aid , not much but some- and this is primarily why im hesitant about applying SCEA. Also im applying to Harvard RD and if i get in id obviously go there ... but evidently my chances in Harvard are so dismal that id rather not make a fool of myself and apply there EA (or is it ED?)
so what do you think I should do?

helllooo..? any1?

umm an1 care to answer..plz?

I'm not experienced with this sort of thing, but everything looks really good.

By the way, you say you're hesitant about apply SCEA because you need financial aid...why is that? SCEA is non-binding, so if you find that you can't afford to pay, you can still go to another school (and you won't be breaking a contract or anything like that). Harvard also has SCEA (I'm not entirely sure about SC, but definitely EA, not ED)

wait im unsure about what u mean.... if i get into yale scea i can still continue processing my other apps without refusing the yale offer? for example if I apply to yale scea now and they send me in dec. saying im in can i still wait till April to see the other offers I get and then decide? or would I have to decide much earlier, i was under the impression that i did...
sorry im confused

SCEA only means that you can not apply Early ___ to other schools; you can still apply RD to as many schools as you want. With EA, you know whether or not you got in earlier, but you have until the April (or whenever the regular decision deadline is) to decide whether to accept.

ED is where you must attend that school if accepted. EA you have the option of comparing schools with the knowledge that you're already accepted somewhere.

o ok thats ood to know.. thank you. I think I will apply early then...it seems like i have nothing to lose.

organize your stats and post them ORDERLY in point form, then more people will reply

im not asking for my chances...just seeing if i should or should not apply early..iv already decided that i will so no need to spend forever organizing my stats..

If you really want to go to Yale, you should definetly apply SCEA.
