Would writing about how stressful junior year was and how I learned that I wasn't superhuman be a bad essay topic?

I was thinking it over and I thought that writing about my abysmal junior year would be good because not only did I learn something about myself but it would also explain any lower grades I might have.

Or would this simply make the college think that I would not be able to deal with college work or something?

Other possibilities would be to discuss junior year in a supplemental statement or to have your GC discuss it.

Learning that you aren't superhuman could make for a personal and revealing essay, but imo make sure that the essay, overall, is positive about you.

Yeah, I wouldn't talk about that. It's kind of a boring topic, in my opinion. I mean, I wouldn't want to listen to a guy blabber on about how he didn't get as great grades as he thought he would...

I think it's a good idea to write about something that doesn't have to do with high school. It's more fun that way.
