can i bad freshmen year in high school kill my chances of a good business school? when i say bad, i mean baddddddddd. i had an 89 gpa with 0 honors courses. i have gotten a 212 on my psat and plan on scoring a 2250+ with preparation. also, my grades sophmore year were a 94 gpa and junior year so far has been a 96 gpa. Can i still get into nyu stern or a good business school? i have above average EC's and some leadership positions.

I think you still definitely have a shot. Colleges like to see improvement over time and they can definitely understand a poor freshman year because of adjustment or whatever really.

does anyone else have an opinion on this?

The previous poster is correct: An upward trend is looked upon favorably. Focus on doing as well as possible in rigorous classes sophomore and junior year.

Thanks! one more question, if i didn’t make NYU Stern, could i still land an internship or job offer on wall street by going to NYU CAS? and how difficult is it to transfer from CAS to Stern?

Upward trends look good, and freshman year is the least important out of all of them. You still definitely have a shot!

bump bump bump

bump bump bump

bump bump bump anyone??

you’re screwed, no chance

really? why do you say that? anyone else have an opinion?

^^^ he’s messing with you.

And if this makes you feel better: I also think you have a chance.
