It means colleges believe that your race is a bad tree that produces good apples every blue moon so they want the few good ones out of the bunch.

In other words, they feel so bad for your race they let you in with lower standards.
Usually BLACK or Hispanic. But do not take this as a bad thing. If Harvard wants you because you’re black with a 2150 SAT, take advantage of it, become famous and prove the stereotypes wrong.

URM is really unrepresented minority. It means they don’t get enough people of a race to fit their…“Diversity” quota. Which means it’s a lot easier for a minority to get into a college than say an asian or white.

You still need to be Sharp swiss to get into a topcollege, but you have a better chance of being accepted.

I got into the University of Michigan out of state. 3.3 GPA and 1550 SAT. Granted this was 2 years ago and I was also wait listed. I’m an African American male and my parents make over 200k annually. I also got into 10 out of the 15 schools I applied to. Hope this provides you with some motivation. I had good essays and EC’s and recommendations.

Being Asian probably will hurt your chances. But you should still give the SAT another shot and try to improve your GPA. If that doesn’t work you can try a community college for a couple of years then transfer. You should use that time to get your grades up.

Oh wow, that’s kinda wrong Being Asian hurts my chances… I don’t really consider myself Asian honestly. I mean, when you think of Asians, you think of Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese… Maybe even Indians.
