Hello, I am currently a junior in high school in Jersey with well a very bad GPA .. a 77. My main school I want to go to is NJIT, with out a doubt I want to go there. However, as you can tell my GPA is bad and since I got into high school I was just cruising by it not caring when reality finally hit me. Is it to late? I want to go to a Computer Science program there as I have excelled in that by even going to a local class and earing a 3.0 GPA in that as a sophmore and I am going to be going there again in the spring. Is it to late or any suggestions you would like to give to help "keep me on track".

I heard colleges look also for a improvement in grades and strongly look at junior year.

Yes, colleges look most closely at junior year and an upwards trend is always a good thing. It's hard to predict your chances however without your SAT scores and more information about what classes you have taken at your high school. Make sure you have other options besides NJIT just in case. Best of luck.

I dunno, a 77 is pretty bad, no offense, but it all depends on how great you perform on your SATs (or ACTs) and how well you write an essay describing why you did this bad. I wish you the best of luck! :-D What is NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology..? guess)?

last time i checked (about 3-4 months ago at a college fair) NJIT didn't require SATs, nor did they require an essay. This is good since you can opt to do the two and it may put you above lazy people who don't do them.

no im NJ resident and im pretty positive they require SAT scores. Prep for them, score above a 1350, and u have a good shot. You never know though due to your low GPA.
