I have recently been freaking out about college, and my chances of getting into the universities I want to apply to. My freshman and sophomore year I really didn’t care about school. I am now a junior and have really matured since then and really improved, but I still do somewhat struggle at times. My GPA is about a 3.0 and I am hoping to bring it up to a 3.1 or 3.2 by the time I start applying to colleges. My ACT score was a 25 but I am taking it again and hoping to bring it to a 26 or 27. I volunteer A LOT, and not because it looks good on college applications but also because I really enjoy it. I run cross country, but I don’t think I am running my senior year, just because I will be so busy. Freshman year I was apart of theatre. I am also part of speech and debate. I was involved in Interact Club (which is like a rotary club for high schoolers) at my old school. I am also planning on becoming either president or vice president of our young democrats club next year. On top of that, I am volunteering for 6 weeks at our main hospital this summer. I am also going to join more clubs next year. My plan is to go into pre-dentistry as my undergraduate. So even though my GPA is just ok… I have a pretty solid ACT score (hoping to raise) and I am REALLY involved in my community (food truck, food bank, volunteering at an animal shelter +more) and I am in lots school clubs. Do you think I will be able to get into the University of Kentucky, because I live in Lexington KY. Also University of Colorado at Boulder and Arizona State and University of Nevada at Las Vegas and possibly any good university in California??? Mainly University of Colorado because that is my absolute dream school. Is there ANY way I could get some decent scholarships, since I will most likely go out of state? Please help!!!
