So I'm a Junior turning into a Senior in the fall & im really worried about colleges in general. I really want to go to UCSD as my future college but i dont know if my grades can get me in. ive been slacking off highschool year & actually started trying this year, haha which is pretty pointless. I want to become a Medical Doctor & i heard that UCSD is really good for medical other than UCLA but i doubt i can make it
but anyways i have

GPA: 3.1 <--- gonna go up alittle because junior year second semester isnt added
SAT1 : 1790
SAT2: Korean 740
Chem: 610
im going to try to break a 2000 on sat 1
and korean im FORSURE going to get 800..hopefully.
& im going to try to raise chem and math to at least 700

I have alot of volunteer hours, around 250?
im in NHS CSF & MUN

if you guys can get back to me that would be great!
& please no negative comments! thank you!

To put it in perspective.. it doesn't look good ATM.
If your goals/aspirations for your test grades and GPA are accurate (or better yet, an underestimation) I think you have a chance.

Then again, everyone who is UC eligible has a "chance," that being said, you should really elaborate on your EC's including offices held in the clubs that you mentioned.

PS- Keep in mind that average GPA is 4.06 for this year's admits. Just providing a realistic input here.

well it doesn't look great, but try really hard to get great grades your senior year and study to try to improve your SATs..it'll be difficult, but not impossible. It just depends on how badly you want it. good luck!

I know a lot of people who have gotten in with lower stats...

edit: Didn't notice that you might possibly have declared one of the impacted Science Majors. Good luck, they are really hard to get into. The people I know with lower stats applied Undeclared or into the Social Sciences.
