Yes college apps play a huge part in admissions but am I in a fairly ok spot now? Any advice to improve chances? UCSD is my only dream school and i will try to do all that i can. Im looking to get a medical internship/volunteer at a hospital to show an interest in my major atm. I have done some research and the avg gpa sat accept at my specific high school is 3.82, 2095.
Thanks for your time!!! i really want to achieve my goal!!!

Raise your SAT scores. In my opinion (aside from Berk, LA) most of the UC’s are more number based than private institutions. Try to get the highest GPA possible and getting a test score higher than the accepted average UCSD average will slightly offset your low UW GPA.

That isn’t to say that EC aren’t important but unless you start winning intentional competitions the best way to increase your chances is to raise your objective numbers.
